Higos Clevedon Office Volunteer At Local Charity Freeways
Making a difference is at the heart of everything we do.
At Higos, we’re committed to making a positive difference in our local communities where we each live and work; making it core to our culture, values and responsibility as a trusted inclusive business. That's why we've introduced a company volunteer day, which allows staff to use a paid day to support a local charity.
On the 1st and 3rd of August, team members from our Higos Clevedon branch had the wonderful opportunity to utilise their company volunteer day by supporting their local charity Freeways. The staff helped Freeways prepare for their open day on the 5th of August at the Leigh Court Day Centre. The teams hard working and remarkable efforts involved clearing, cleaning and gardening by the outside area, the front of the property, at the side by a hydro pool, picnic/bench area and the courtyard.
Matt Crouch from our Clevedon branch said “It was hard work but we were well looked after and enjoyed a really rewarding few days.”
The charity Freeways help people to become as independent as possible by helping them make choices, learn new skills and make new links in their local community.
A massive congratulations to our members of staff who’ve truly made a difference with their incredible achievement.
Through these initiatives, we hope to make a positive and lasting impact on the community, while also fostering a sense of social responsibility and teamwork among our staff.
For charity and giving, it has to be Higos.
