Higos Mental Health & Wellbeing
At Higos, we understand the mental health of our staff members has a significant impact on their wellbeing. That’s why, we’re committed to promoting improved wellbeing amongst our staff, by raising awareness of mental health support and supporting staff along with their family members who may be suffering from poor mental health.
Our Mental Health & Wellbeing Commitment
We’re committed to understanding our staff mental health and wellbeing and aim to understand more about the impact mental health has in our workplace. Our staff are encouraged to help us be aware and improve their mental health and wellbeing by participating in an anonymous mental health and wellbeing survey. We’re also promoting mental health and wellbeing challenges across our offices with the aim of staff to undertake some wellbeing time such as taking walks during lunchbreaks.
Our Mental Health First Aiders
We’ve appointed several Mental Health First Aiders (MHFA) across our branches and provided them with relevant resources to support the mental health and wellbeing of our staff. Our Mental Health First Aiders have completed The Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) course, an internationally recognised training course, designed to teach people how to spot the signs and symptoms of mental ill health and provide help on a first aid basis. Our line managers will also be provided with a Mental Health and Wellbeing training course and assist I helping to promote improved wellbeing amongst our staff.
